Marian Davis didn't dream of fame and fortune.  She didn't set out to live a life of thrills and adventure.  Her only goal was to serve.  Miss Marian, as she was often called, sometimes became discouraged because it seemed that her golden opportunity to serve never came.  But, in being faithful in the small tasks she found, she was preparing herself for the larger tasks that were to come.

She couldn't have imagined where God wanted her next.

Marian Davis joined James and Ellen White, traveling by wagon train all the way to Colorado. There, she helped Mrs. White gather materials that became such treasures as The Desire of Ages and Steps to Christ. This is the story of Marian and her quest for service. Although she is seldom mentioned in Adventist Books, Miss Marian was a true trailblazer for Jesus!
